How Long Does Lifeguard Training Take?

A full lifeguard training course typically takes 25–30 hours to complete. With the blended format, most students finish the online portion in a few evenings and complete the in-water skills over one weekend. Intensive in-person courses are also available in many locations.

Lifeguard Certification: What You Earn
