Why WASH?
Lifeguard training built for the real world — accepted internationally, delivered anywhere, priced honestly, and backed by technology that watches the water with you.
Eight reasons facilities choose WASH
From single-guard community pools to international resorts, WASH certification is designed to fit your operation — not the other way around.
Internationally accepted, internationally delivered
WASH certifications are accepted internationally — and our courses can be taught anywhere in the world, by traveling WASH instructors or by your own senior staff authorized to teach WASH courses abroad.
1-year certification, 2-year license
The 1-year certification lets the holder seek employment in any aquatic setting covered by their certificate. The 2-year license is issued through the WASH Authorized Training Center that delivered the training — which is contracted to provide the required in-service trainings and approved by WASH to issue it.
Flexible by design
Online, blended, and in-person formats that fit your schedule, your staffing, and your season — train when and where it works for you.
Affordable
Straightforward, honest pricing without the overhead — professional certification your budget can say yes to, for individuals and whole teams.
Accessible worldwide
From community pools to resort waterfronts on every continent — WASH training reaches you wherever your water is.
No insurance requirements for ATCs
WASH has no specific insurance requirements for Authorized Training Centers — and will never ask to be added as an additional insured, or dictate or mandate your limits, coverage, or clauses.
DrownShieldAI: an extra set of eyes
Real-time computer vision that detects a possible drowning in seconds and alerts your lifeguard’s smartwatch instantly. It supports your guards — never replaces them. See how it works →
Training for single-lifeguard pools
Purpose-built training modules for pools staffed by a single lifeguard — covering scanning discipline, emergency action, and rescue response when it’s just you on the deck.
