This course prepares you to safely and effectively operate a personal watercraft during aquatic rescue operations — PWC handling, rescue techniques, emergency response, hazard recognition, and operational safety in challenging water environments.

What to expect from the WASH PWC Rescue Operations course.

Who It’s For

Rescue professionals — training in the safe, effective, and efficient use of personal watercraft during water-based emergencies.

Rescue Environments

Graduates are prepared to use PWCs in swiftwater, flood, surf, and open-water rescue operations.

Delivery and Length

Full in-person course, approximately 12–18 hours of contact time. Price includes classroom and in-water sessions plus the certification PDF on successful completion. Class size: 3–15 participants.

Requirements and Certification

Minimum age 16. Bring a PWC (1 per 3 participants) and a helmet; wetsuit/drysuit and gloves optional. Graduates receive a WASH International PWC Operators certificate valid for two (2) years.
