World Academy of Safety & Health (WASH) Announces Opening of Three New Maritime Training Schools
New campuses in Tampa, Baltimore, and Cape May will expand access to STCW training courses beginning September 2026
[Riderwood, MD, USA — January 13, 2026] — World Academy of Safety & Health (WASH), a recognized leader in safety and professional training, today announced the opening of three new Maritime Training Schools in Tampa, Florida; Baltimore, Maryland; and Cape May, New Jersey. The new locations will begin offering STCW Basic Safety Training and STCW Train the Trainer courses starting September 2026.
The expansion reflects WASH’s continued commitment to advancing maritime safety, workforce readiness, and regulatory compliance across the U.S. maritime industry. By establishing training centers in key coastal and port regions, WASH aims to make high-quality STCW instruction more accessible to mariners, maritime educators, and industry partners.

Each new Maritime Training School will offer:
- STCW Basic Safety Training (BST): Covering Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Firefighting, Elementary First Aid, and Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.
- STCW Train the Trainer: Designed for maritime professionals seeking to instruct and assess STCW courses in accordance with international and national requirements.
The facilities are being developed to support immersive, practical learning environments, with modern classrooms and specialized training equipment to ensure students gain real-world skills and confidence.
Enrollment information, course schedules, and facility details will be announced closer to the September 2026 launch.
